Some diet modifications are useful like avoiding sugar, consuming many carbohydrates, lowering the amount of food for each meal and eating more frequently, relaxing, adjusting your sleep routine.
Other possible strategies include avoiding certain foods and drinks (e.g. colas, coffee, hot dogs, chips, cans) and eating more fruits, vegetables, milk, foods high in fiber, meats low in fat, foods high in calcium and vitamin D.

Certain food supplements can have an effectiveness on the previously mentioned symptoms: fatty acids such as borage oil, evening primrose oil, fish oil, iron, zinc, vitamin B6, and vitamin E.
